article by Richard Bush on "Fine tuning Vito Clarinets." Quite comprehensive.
Also an article by Luke Goembel on "Making a Recorder." Ditto
Ferrees Tools carries tools and supplies for the repair of musical inst-
ruments. 1477 E. Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, Mi. 49017 (616) 965-0511.
Now...I, myself, have never ruined a perfectly good instrument by working
on it myself. Gosh no. BUT! I'm told by people that have, that in the
blink of an eye, you can turn a good horn into the main ingredient for a
table lamp. We are in the "Don't try this at home...these are trained pro-
fessionals!" mode, here. To paraphrase Louie Armstrong: "If you don't know
what it is, don't fool with it!"
In the words of that famous philosopher, Burch Johnson, "I ain't respon-
sible if you follow my advice." 'Course, I'm not giving any advice.
But the Woodwind Quarterly IS a great addition to your library.
