Hello fellow KLARINET readers!

My name is Tim S. Gourley, and I am a 17 year-old senior at Moore High
School, in Moore, Oklahoma. I am in the MHS marching and concert bands
as first chair clarinet and section leader.

I've been reading the list for quite some time, just waiting for the right
oppurtunity to "jump on" into the conversations. So far TONS of the
information presented that I have read has been helpful, as well as rather
humorous sometimes. EXCEPT for the multiple tuning charts :) I guess
someone is trying to tell us that we need to spend more time tuning. It
seems like our reputations of clarinetists (at least in high school) are
dictated by the half-hearted players who still play on a rico 2 and insist
on playing altissimo all the time (try saying *that* in one breath!).

Well, to keep this short and non-bouncing, I'll just leave with one question
(as opposed to more): does anyone know of a good small ensemble or clarinet
and piano arrangement of Hoagy Carmichael's (sp) Stardust? I've heard
Benny Goodman's rendition, and I really like it. I thought it would be nice
to play for my girlfriend (that's our song), and any help would be greatly
appreciated.

That's all for now!
