Sorry if this message is too late for many who wonder how to deal with the
flood, but you can make notes for the next time. Instead of starting your
own mail reader, such as Eudora, do the following:
1. Log on to your internet service provider using Telnet or a similar tool.
I use Trumptel.
2. After giving your log on id and password, you get an old fashioned system
prompt '>' .
3. Use a traditional e-mail reader. I use PINE, which is commonly available,
but chech with your provider.
4. Open your incoming mail box and list your mail. Delete all the messages
which you don't want.
5. You can, of course, read all of your mail using PINE and never have to
download it to your own machine.
6. This only works with conventional providers :) If you are on AOL, you are
out of luck :(
