Thank you for your answer. That is something I had been wondering for
a while. The saxophone must be one of the few wind instruments with
one standard design. I think perhaps the flute and trombone would
also be included.

Sorry but there are also international Differences in Flutes and
Trombones too. For the Flute there are Boehm Fingering and "of
course" a german version too. But it makes no difference for the
Player due to the Orchestra he wants to play in, al least not so
difficult as for Clarinet players. Dont ask me Details, maybe i can
ask a friend if you want to know it.
For the Trombone section, I only know that they have varying Models
that differ in Bore-width or something like that..

I have been on the Klarinet list for some time and I know that Sabine
Meyer is highly regarded by list participants. I have at least 4 of
her CDs.
