Someone asked about experience with Zonda reeds. I received #4 samples when
I told them I normally used Vandoren V12 #4. By comparison the Zondas were
like planks, but extremely high quality uniform planks!

I whittled them down to a strength I liked and found them to be superb. I
wrote up a summary, mailed it back and received some #3s in the mail a few
weeks later.

The #3s were the equivalent of a V12 #4, after my adjustments - I normally
get V12 #4 and slightly adjust to get what I like.

The Zonda #3s were exactly what I needed. I could play on any one of them as
received and the quality was high and uniform. My feeling was that the
difference between Zonda 3s and 4s was *much* larger than with most brands of
reeds I have tried, particularly the V12s.
