While it is not a method book, after a few months of study I think an
adult beginner would enjoy Lester's "60 Rambles." I purchased it for
my son after recommendations on this list. The tunes in this book are
quite enjoyable and I play them myself when I need a break. In fact,
I have often wondered if Lester wrote anything more substantial.
