Tht's what I'm planning to do.

I live in New Zealand so this unfortunately, is not actually a feasible option

I have done up to Grade 8 (passed with distinction) of Associated
board/royal schools of music or whatever it's called. After grade 8, (in NZ,
anyway) there aren't many options if I want to get a higher qualification -
there's LTCL, LRSM which I've heard is a LOT harder than LTCL - that's why
I'm changing from royal to trinity _ Or I could go and do performance at
university, but in NZ there are only three universities where you can study
clarinet. I applied at two for this year, but at one they didn't take in any
clarinettists this year, and at the other I didn't get a place in the
student accomodation, so it was a bit dificult. Now I'm studying science at
university, and if I want to I can still prepare for LTCL. In NZ it doesn't
seem to have a reputation for being as hard to pass as you say. Maybe the
clarinettists are just better here JUST KIDDING!! I think the examiners
would understand that it's a bit hard for us NZers to come from within the
college.
Thanks anyway for your help. I do have the syllabis, I was just wondering if
people had suggestions for pieces I should have in my repertoir.
Thanks!
Linda
