On the subject of clarinet bags:

I have had very good luck with any of the canvas or nylon briefcases
found in the L. L. Bean catalogues. The cost between $40 and $80, and
sturdily made, with a strong and comfortable carrying strap. The size
fits the Yamaha double case, and the old Buffet Double Case, with lots of
room for whatever (not quite as big as Dan's late-great monster!). Both
my wife and I have these cases, and they've survived concert tours to
China, Japan, and Europe, with no damage. A good value!
