I am scheduled to perform the Rossini "Introduction, Theme and
Variations" with my symphony next Spring, and was astonished to find that
the score and orchestral parts are only available on rental from Schirmer
for the (gag!) sum of $290.00 for one performance! Not that I really
want to cheat Schirmer of it's booty (Lord knows Rossini doesn't get a
single sou, or is it lire?), but does anyone know of another source for
this piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
