Hello... since we're on the subject of medical problems associated with
the clarinet...

Sometimes, after I practice for many hours, I get a tingling,
stinging-like feeling in my hands... especially around my knuckles.

Does anyone know of any simple exercises or techniques that could
alleviate this?

A friend of mine had to go to physical therapy because of her French
horn... I don't recall exactly what she told me, but that's the only
incident (aside from the ones I've seen on this mailing list) I have
heard of when a musician has developed a serious medical problem from the
instrument.
