Dearest FRED...

Hee hee it was funny to see you write this. When I was in elementary
school I first wanted to take up the flute, but my dad suggested the
clarinet, and there I was... not knowing how to put the darn thing
together the first day of fourth grade band class.

Boy, am I glad I stuck with it. :)

Your message also made me remember a quote from one of my penpals, James
Groebner (aka Diego) who isn't a clarinetist himself, but appreciates the
instrument very much...

"The clarinet is a very fragile expression... It requires a sensitivity,
that most instruments do not. It is the bridge between the Wind
Instruments and the Brass Instruments.
So it requires this perilous bridge crossing. To be performed
perfectly, lest you are to fall into the abyss."

Ain't that sweet ladies and gentlemen? ;)

(Why don't we all forward this to all of the music teachers and others
out there who say the clarinet is the easiest instrument to play? hee
hee)

Sincerely,
