Ed,

I agree with everything Steve Fowler says, he is the pro at repairs. I had
a problem similar to yours and I fixed it two ways: 1. Bending the key
towards the ring slightly (in my case I bent it up). 2. The major problem
(in my case) was tension on the spring. Just the slightest touch caused the
key to open. By increasing the tension on the spring it has a more uniform
feel to the rest of my clarinet and didn't open so easily. Combining the
two above adjustments worked just fine.

On the subject of fat, I never had fat fingers or was never in the Navy. I
am just getting fat!!!!
