Dan,
I play it all the time!! Of course, how many other clarinetists
play in folk bands for dancers? My South-Serbian Gypsy band plays for
international folk dacing all the time and sometimes we throw in othere
stuff like a polka. I agree that young players should know about this
part of their heritage. Too bad we've all become so damned serious and
can't bring ourselves to play these lovely, if slightly corny, chestnuts.
