Marylou,
Do you mean the "Prelude, Fugue, and Riffs" for clarinet and jazz
band by Bernstein? As far as I know, I don't think there's a clarinet
concerto by Bernstein.
For a solo clarinet piece, there's many to choose from. Some of
the more accessable ones are: Stravinsky "Three Pieces", Sutermeister
"Capriccio", Paul Harvey "3 etudes based on Gershwin themes", and the
Osborne "Rhapsodie". The Abyss from "The End of Time" is also good but can
be somewhat static if not played with great feeling.
