Thomas Reuss writes of being required to give a clarinet literature
class and asks what might be appropriate for him to read, do, see, etc.
in preparation for that class.

Were I in Tom's shoes, I would get into a car and drive to the Univ.
of Maryland where the world's largest and most diverse body of
clarinet music resides. For more than 25 years, people have been
donating to that facility. I have been donating for the last 10 months
and will continue to do so for the next year or more. The former
president of the clarinet society, Gerry, had his entire estate
donated to that facility.
