Hey, my name is Mark Greeley and I am currently finishing up my BA in
clarinet performance at Virginia Tech. I plan to got to grad school, but
here is what I have done on recitals in the past. They seem to work quite well.

Sophomore recital: (half)

Martinu: Sonatine
Brahms: Sonata in f minor, op. 120, no.1
Bowles: Music for a farce (clarinet, piano, trumpet and percussion)

Junior recital no. 1

Five Bagatelles: Gerald Finzi
Konzertstucke no. 1 in f minor for clarinet, basset horn and piano: Mendelssohn
Szalowski: Sonatina
Copland: Concerto

Junior Recital no. 2

Fantasiestucke: Shumann
Saint-Saens: Sonata in Eb major
Trio in Eb major for clarinet, viola and piano: Mozart
Concerto no. 4 in e minor: Louis Spohr

Senior Recital no.1 (to be performed 10/25/96)

Duo Concertant: Darius Milhaud
Three Preludes: George Gershwin
Trio in a minor for clarinet, cello and piano: Joahnnes Brahms
Concerto no. 3 in Bb major: Karl Stamitz
Concert Fantasia un motivi de Guiseppe Verdi's "RIGOLETTO": Bassi

I haven't really planned my second one yet, but those are some pretty good
ideas. Some other standards include the sonatas by Poulenc, Bernstein,
Stanford and Brahms.

Write back if you need any more help.
