Nate,
Since I am tooting my own horn, I don't blame you if you take
this with a little salt, but I recommend, among others, my band's
(MACHAYA KLEZMER BAND) recordings (we have two), available at TARA
(online!-www.tara.org), Hatikva Music Int'l. (in Los Angeles), Tower
records, Border's, etc. I also highly recommend the bands: Brave Old
World, Andy Statman, Max Epstein, N.Y. Klezmer Ensemble, and my favorite,
the Klezmatics, among others.
