Dave,
I messed up. I looked it up again, and yes it is an F. I must have hit the G
key on my computer by mistake.
(better that then my Clarinet)
Sorry,
David C. Blumberg

Subject: Re: Rose Etude

I had originally posted the information that, according to David Hite's
(1986) edition published by Southern Music Company, the last note in the 22nd
measure of Etude #23 in Rose's 32 Etudes is an F.

Imagine my surprise when David Blumberg said it is a G and recommended the
very edition that I cited! Thinking that I must have been hallucinating, I
checked again. It is still an F in my edition! Is there more than one
edition of Hite's "Artistic Studies Book 1 - From the French School"?

I can also confirm Adam Lewis' information that H. Voxman's "Selected
Studies" published by Rubank in 1942 has a G; however, I believe that Hite is
correct. As an example of a(nother) mistake that Voxman has, he gives the
last note of the 26th measure as a G-flat whereas Hite (correctly) gives this
note as a G natural.
