My son's teacher teaches at home. She did the first few lessons in
the living room where I could watch and then moved upstairs to
the room she usually teaches in.

It is a 25 minute drive to her house. I don't feel much like driving
around some more after I get there. I have always waited in the
living room during the lesson. I usually
read, chat with her husband (a professional trumpet player) when he
is home, or keep an eye on their daughter (about 2 1/2) when he is
not.

Now that I am bringing both of my children for lessons, it seems like
we tend to take over the house a bit but this goes with the
territory. If she wanted to use a studio she would, but I pay less
than what she would have to charge and she keeps everything she gets.
