Hello clarinettists:
I guess the recordings of Mozart's clarinet concerto by period instruments
was all played by clarinets made by boxwood (eg. Mozart clarinet concerto by
Tony Pay, Colin Lawson, etc). It seems to me that the tone color produced by
boxwood clarinet and modern (ebony) clarinet are very different. Anyone would
like to tell me what is the difference between these 2 kinds of material?
Or the difference is the difference between besset clarinet and the common
A clarinet?
