Dearest FRIENDS...

These are currently two pieces that I am working on... rather
sporadically. :)

I have to play the "Concertino" for my State Honor Band audition, and I
am having a lot of trouble with the staccato passages.

For the audition, I specifically have to play:

(Ed. Henry W. Davis)

Adagio ma non troppo: from "solo" to measure 20

Poco piu vivo: from #3 to measure 70

Allegro: from #9 to end

Also, what tempos do you all recommend for the above passages?

I am planning to play the Poulenc for next year's solo festival, and I
really haven't concentrated on it much, but does anyone have a method of
remembering accidentals and counting a lot of the difficult rhythms in
the piece?

I would appreciate any kind of feedback!

Sincerely,

Marylou Verano
