<<Hello everyone. I seem to have this problem with sight-reading whenever I
audition, and this tends to pretty much screw me over as far as the
audition goes. How do you guys sight-read something? Is there like some
magic method I can follow for success?>>

Robert,

One of my latest teachers always said that if you can play all scales and
arpeggios (including scales in thirds, fourths, etc.) you can sight-read
anything. This has always been very useful to me. I used to be awful,
especially with reference to sight-reading articulation. I get better and
better the more and more that I take time to sit down and read out of etude
books, etc. This has also made my auditions much smoother.
Good Luck!

Adam Lewis
