You might try a more traditional approach. Rose 32 Studies, and Rose 40
Studies...both available through c. fischer. These are GREAT etudes for
technique, articulation, style, phrasing, tone, etc..for pure technique
you might try Klose (also C. fischer) Bellison editor, scales,p. 123,
and scales in thirds, and the different arpeggio studies in this same
section of this text. WHen scales and thirds are going well, start on
the 20 studies in the same Klose book, p. 216????. From another 60 year
old clarinet player. However, I have performed professionallly, and
taught for many years....Try the above "prescription", and see how it
