I have run across a venerable C clarinet with Henri Farny & Cie - Paris
stamped in an oval shaped logo much like Buffet's. It's also stamped C - LP
which I assume is the "low pitch" version. By visual comparison (I don't
have a good set of calipers) it's a very narrow bore instrument compared with
a modern Noblet, for example. There are no serial numbers, nor did it ever
appear to have them. The tonal quality isn't bad, but the intonation leaves
a lot to be desired. I'd be grateful for any information about the horn.
