As if we clarinet players have much to talk about in that respect... ;)

The shreik of a clarinet "squeak" can be devestating...

On a tangent.. this reminds me; for those who have seen "Mr Holland's
Opus" did eeeveryone notice in the touching scene where Holland "get
through" to the clarinet player girl, when she squeaks in the beginning
of the scene that she basically inhaled the mouthpiece, and that also
when she picked her clarinet up after leaving it overnight she never wet
her reed? Of course she squeaked.. :) (Incidentally I saw the movie with
a large portion of our Wind Ensemble.. I think we had a bit of a
different perspective on the movie than the rest of the audience. I was
hhighly amused on how many people, even brass players, picked up on stuff
like that..).
