The Alpine horn is a good candidate for most dangerous instrument, I
think. Availability of beginner instruments always was a problem for me,
so I never started any student on Alpine horn.

By the way, in scores calling for an Alpine horn, you can approximate
the sound by putting a mouthpiece on a Buick.

Kudos to Scott, however, for the first scholarly entry into the discussion
of the world's most dangerous instrument.
