No one has yet mentioned the fairly new work for clarinet, cello and
piano by the increasingly popular Henryk Gorecki entitled "Lerchenmusik"
(Lark music). It is a very interesting piece, which, much like his other
works, exploits consonances and dissonances over an _extended_ period of time
(the entire piece, three movements, takes 45 minutes to perform.) I just
bought a recording of it, but I can't remember who the clarinettist is.
Walter Boekens (sp?) seems to ring a bell, but I can't be sure.
