With all due respect to other posters on this topic concerning strings
being more difficult to play than winds, I must add (yes, I'm gonna shout!)
WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THIS MAKE???
In 15 years of music teaching, I must have had a gazillion kids ask which
instrument was easiest, so I developed the following "pat" answer:
While there are some things easier about one instrument, or more difficult
about another instrument, ALL instruments are difficult to play well.
Maybe we should start a discussion of which instrument is most hazardous
to play! I bet you could lose an eye if a string broke in an
unfortunate way! But then, there are reed splinters....
Best wishes, all ;)
