Philip Muncy <muncywinds@-----.com> overhauled my clarinet more than 5 years
ago using his handmade gortex pads. It is still in great shape. Mr. Muncy's
puts the gortex over goat skin which may last longer than the commercial
pads. He did my upper joint in cork which lasts a long time as well.
