I'll be on the road from July 1 to Aug 15 and I wanted to say bye bye
for the six weeks that I will probably not be on the list. Although
I may have access to a computer system with TELNET capabilities that
allow me to log in to my system remotely, the chances are that I
won't. So to avoid the mailbox filling up to capacity (which it would
do in 1 week if not carefully fed and tended to), I'll be stopping
the mail as of July 1. If anybody has anything of interest before
that time, post it so I don't lose out.

As for my trip, it is by auto both ways. Here is the routing and if
you lie in the right geography, buy me a hamburger as I drive
through (for breakfast make that an egg-McMuffin). If you are too
broke to buy, then I will buy. A deal like that you cannot miss.

>From Northern CA to Portland, OR by I5.

>From Portland to Walla Walla by I84 and US 12.

Walla Walla to Bozeman, MT via US12

Bozeman to Jamestown, NY via I90.

Jamestown to Albany by NY17 and something else.

Albany to Boston via I90.

Boston to NJ via I95

NJ to Baltimore via I95 (stopping in York and Newark, DE)

Baltimore to Paducah, KY (lots of roads but one of them is the
Blue Grass Parkway)

Paducah to Springfield, MO via US50

Springfield to Kansas City via state routes

Kansas City to Ely, NV via I70 and US50, with an overnight in
Colby, KS. It is a very nice town!!

Ely, NV to Reno via US50. I will blow $50 on the slots and
say hello to David Ehrke, professor of clarinet
at UN Reno.

Reno to home via I80.

There have to be places where I can get an egg McMuffin with a clarinet
player on a route like that.

But until July 1, expect arguments.
