It never rains, but it pours. I had been unsuccessful in obtaining a copy of
Stadler's caprices for several years, but in the past month I have received
two different editions.

First, Joie Canada was kind enough to send me a copy of what appears to be
the original edition published in Vienna in the early Nineteenth Century.

Second, I discovered the existence of a modern edition published by
Kunzelmann, the German/Swiss music firm. This edition was available from
Educational Music Service (914-469-5790) in New York, and they even had it in
stock!

Given the interest in Stadler's caprices, I would encourage the purchase of
the Kunzelmann edition. Perhaps it will be provide an incentive for
publishers to print more of Stadler's music!
