A friend of mine brought a lyons C clarinet when he was in the UK
about 3 years ago. He uses it to play the C clarinet parts at
orchestra when we get them and for playing flute or piano music in
church.
It comes in one piece and has no alternative fingerings , I believe it
was the brainchild of Graham Lyons who is author of the Take up the
clarinet books. He intended it for children as being in C is smaller
than a Bb and easyer for them to hold and play so they can start younger plus
play with other C insterments.
Maybe someone in the UK could advise you if they are still on the
market there and at what price . If you get no luck then I could ask
my friend where he got it from.
I looked in the klarinet archives and there is at least 1 other mail
on this clarinet if you won't to look.

Regards
Stephen
