Frank Music, 8th Avenue (212) 582-1999. A great selection and friendly
service (yes, it does exist in New York) However, they are not set up for
browsing. Best to go there if you know what you want. They are noted for
having a very good contemporary music selection.

Peddleson's Music, behind Carnegie Hall (can't remember the ave.) (212)
582-5840. Not a bad selection. I remember them having a very good collection
of orchestra parts - mostly Kalmus editions.

Charles Collis, (212) 581-1480. Only jazz publications.

If you have time to get out to Queens and can figure out the transportation
system you should visit
Weiner Music,(800) 622-2675 or (516) 437-9873 call them for directions.
Mostly for supplies, but a large selection. if you want to try new
clarinets you need to make an appointment with Mark Kasten at their repair
center (718) 672-6265.
