I saw these when they were still under development, and was quite
impressed by their apparently good intonation, but not by their tone or
their robustness. I believe the method of attachment of the keys has
been changed more than once. Lots of shops sell them in the UK, and
various music intended to be played on them. How many teachers believe
in their usefulness, I don't know - the few I meet from time to time seem
to hate the things. They use E flat reeds and have simplified keywork, so
there is something of a
changeover problem when Johnny (or more likely Sarah or Emma) gets a
grown-up instrument. They are also pretty cheap (in price).
