Jim,
If you have a teacher, he/she should be able to fix this problem,
as it is almost surely one of un-sound (no pun intended) technique. If you
don't, I suggest you take a few
lessons with a good teacher and the problem will be easily identified and
solved. In general, it is not particularly wise to try to solve a
technical problem long-distance, any more than a doctor should try to
diagnose someone wihout seeing them in the flesh. So I will not try to
offer you solutions, tho I could think of a few reasons for, and solutions
to, your problem.
