Bill,
My teacher was John Denman when I was at the University of Arizona. He,
being British, presented his students with many pieces by British
composers, Finzi being one of them.
Unlike, Nate, I liked the Bagatelles from the start. I think Nate is
right, however, in that you should hear the piece with the piano; it makes
more sense that way.
By the way, the word bagatelle means trifle. So deal with the piece lightly!
