This is in response to Brad Behn's questions concerning Pyne mouthpieces:

The material for Pyne mouthpieces is the highest quality hard rubber. This
includes all "Signature" (labeled: Jx, Pk, ~M, NSk, SPO, P, JxR, WS, R,
S3+, M13B) and "Sinfonia" models.

Research activities at Pyne/Clarion involve evaluation and testing of a
wide range of high quality engineering polymers (generically called
plastics). To date nine mouthpieces have been made using one of these
materials that proved to be acoustically excellent. ALL NINE OF THOSE
EXPERIMENTAL MOUTHPIECES ARE EXCLUSIVELY LABELED Ck. If the mouthpiece
mentioned by Brad Behn is labeled Ck, it would be one of those unique
experimental models. These mouthpieces yield excellent results but are
very difficult to produce and will not be made generally available by
Pyne/Clarion.
