I start my gliss at the G. Run your scale up to the G, then start
slowly sliding your left hand fingers off the keys sideways; imagine your
hand pivoting on your thumb. Take your time; this is the "show-off" part!
Of course, you also have to work with your embouchure to help smooth out
"in between".
To practice, I'd start right at that G (I'm sure you can already do
the run!), and start "sliding" to the A; if you hear a definite transition
between the notes, try again, adjusting speed and support as necessary
until it is smooth. Once you get the hand action for that first transition,
the other fingers should follow (if they're all attached to the same hand!)
if you just continue the motion until you're left with your thumb on the
C.
Good luck! (I know this is much easier to demonstrate than to
explain, but e-mail hasn't gotten THAT sophisticated, yet!)
