I have a Winslow for my tenor sax, not for clarinet. You can choose
different points of contact on the reed (little snap in rubber bumpers).
These ligatures are much different than conventional ligatures. On the
tenor sax I can hear/feel the different settings. I don't know if the
effect would be as noticable on the smaller clarinet reed but it would
allow you to experiment with different points of contact. Having a low
point of contact allows the reed to respond differently than having a
higher point of contact. On the tenor sax I have found this definitely
effects the altissimo register and I am still trying to find the most
useful setup.
