The clarinet in some different jazz styles: dixieland (still popular in
New Orleans and parts of Europe), swing (remember all those big band
leaders playing clarinet?), post bop (Eric Dolphy and Jimmy Guiffre),
modern (Antony Braxton) as well as its wide use in film scores which
could be called "jazz".
The only stype that I see the clarinet not present is in the early bebop
style perhaps a reaction against the swing era.
