Greg,
I don't know about any article on that subject but there was a
dissertation done in which someone went through the entire re-copied
"Sacre du Printemps" and compiled a 300+ item errata sheet, which was
included with all copies of the parts sent out by Kalmus. You could write
to Mr. McAlister at Kalmus (I think that's the name of the person who
oversaw the recopying of all the Stravinsky pieces) and ask if any such
thing was done about the "Firebird". Come to think of it, I guess you
could ask if there is any such errata list from which they worked during
the re-copy job.
