If, by "old HS*" you mean ones old enough to have the HS* engraved at the
bottom of the table of the mpc, the very few of these that I've
seen/played were far superior to what passes for an HS* today. Different
blank, for one, and a much less constricted sound than present day
versions. Sokmeone who knew how to reface such a mpc could conceivably
come up with a very fine mouthpiece.
