The Selmer C* is the prototype for _many_ classical mouthpieces for the
alto, but the C* for tenor is not nearly so highly regarded. On the
tenor, there is less agreement about what the tone quality of the
instrument should be, so some people play both classical and jazz on the
same mouthpiece, if it isn't too much of an extreme one. (Metal ones
don't work so well for this purpose.)

It is hard to beat the Rousseau mouthpieces for tenor. I have a JDX8
which I can use for multi-purpose playing. With it I like the Rico Royal
#2.5 or #3, or the Vandoren Java, #2.5. For a purer, more
classically-oriented sound, I like the Rousseau 4R. On this one, I use
something like a Vandoren 3. Recently, I have been having good luck with
the Marca 3 for classical playing on saxophone, either alto or tenor.

But, my favorite tenor saxophone mouthpiece of all time is a Berg Larsen,
hard rubber, #110/1.

Hmmm.... Maybe we should take this discussion to the saxophone group?

Good luck.
