I don't know if they still make them, but I found a neat Pete Fountain glass
mouthpiece in an old drawer at my music store and it is very responsive and
gives me volume of sound and the ability to bend notes a lot. It has an open
face and works well with a fairly hard reed thinned down just a bit at the
tip.
