To me these formulae mean "cupro-nickel" or possibly "nickel bronze". They
explain the coppery colour, certainly. By "corrosive" I take it you mean
"corrodible".
(If there is such a word ..possibly it should be "corrosible") The effect of
the zinc will depend on how and in what form it is distributed within the
alloy. Come to think of it, with that much zinc, the alloy should *not* look
coppery, so perhaps this key metal people are unexpectedly seeing is something
a bit different.
