Does anyone know if the Band Accompaniment to the Jeanjean Variations
on Carnival of Venice is available for rent or purchase? I have
performed this numerous times in the version for Clarinet and Piano
with great audience response. I have heard Robert Spring's
performance of the work on his CD, "The Devil's Tongue", and since I
am going to be conducting and performing in a Trust Fund concert in
Chicago on July 14th, I thought this would be a good selection
(instead of the usual Rossini and Weber stuff that has been
transcribed).
Since we are operating on a "shoestring" budget, if there is a way of
borrowing this from someone, that would be even better.
By the way, if you are in the area in July the concert is on Sunday,
July 14th at 3 PM at Berger Park (Sheridan and Granville, by the lake)
in Chicago.
You can email me directly at hmgreen@-----.com if you wish, or
post to the Klarinet Group.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give.
