Klarinet Archive - Posting 000054.txt from 1996/05
From: Alan Rothenberg <ROTHENA@-----.COM> Subj: Greetings and a query Date: Fri, 3 May 1996 12:04:42 -0400
As a new person on this list, and a former clarinetist (it's been a long, long
time...) I'd like to ask a couple of questions - please pardon the repetition
if these subjects have been already taken up. Private e-mail response is
fine.
- Info on death of R. Marcellus. Was there an obit somewhere that
someone could send me (snail mail)?
- Any info in the "professional clarinet press" (what exactly that means
these days I don't know) about the new Rochberg concerto? As usual,
the concert reviews said virtually nothing about the piece itself. I can
send a copy of the program notes and an article about Rochberg (and the
genesis of the piece) that appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer to anyone
interested.
Thanks, and hello!

clarinets are great axes" Support Group
