I used a winslow for several years (on an excellent Fobes mouthpiece,
BTW) and liked it very much. However, I think you should be careful when
using winslows with old rubber because of the extreme pressure the
winslow puts on the mouthpiece. My feeling is, if you can get your
mouthpiece maker to send you another one, go ahead and play a winslow,
but if
the rubber is slightly softer due to age (just rumor-mongering, but it
makes a certain amount of intuitive sense), and the maker is long gone,
prudence might dictate a less industrial choice.
