I have used the Eddie Daniels ligature. I don't hear any advantage over the
standard rovner ligature. It has two metal strips that make all the contact
with the top of the reed. I find it difficult to adjust to the exact
position required, and if you try to twist the mouthpiece on the barrel, it
comes off easily (the second only a minor irritation). I have switched back
to the standard fabric ligature.
