Abby,

Your repair is no big deal. I know that you would like a new
clarinet, but if you want, send me your clarinet and I'll send it
back the next day, fixed, no charge.

Take your time finding a good clarinet. Play as many as you can and
take your teacher withyou if at all possible. Also, there are some
fine used instruments floating around on this list. You may want to
consider one of those. They will usually save you about 40 - 50%.
